under the provisions of the "Debtors and Creditors' Act, 1863.

  1. James Lea Smithers, late of Waikouaiti, Storekeeper, now of Dunedin.
  2. William Lawrenson and Archibald Cameron, late of Queenstown, in the Province of Otago, Victuallers, presently prisoners for debt in the Gaol at Dunedin.
  3. Robert Broughton, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, presently prisoner for debt in the Gaol at Dunedin.

NOTICE is hereby given, that I, the undersigned, have this day sold and assigned all my right, title, and interest in the stock-in-trade, credits and effects in the Province of Otago, of the firm of "Cole, Hoyt & Co.," to Mr. Henry Hoyt, who takes upon himself all my liabilities under the said firm.
