TENDERS for Carting about Two Tons

Each Pressed Hay and Oats from Dunedin to the Dunstan, to be lodged at the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, by two o’clock on Friday, 4th September.

TENDERS will be received at the Provincial Secretary’s Office, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 4th September, for the supply of Three Hundred Bushels of Oats, to be delivered at Dunedin. Samples to be lodged with tender.

WANTED a Clerk in the Land Office, Dunedin. Application to be made by letter in the hand-writing of applicants, addressed to the Chief Commissioner of the Waste Land Board.


WANTED a Lithographic Printer. Apply to the Survey Office.


NOTICE is hereby given, that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned John Prosser and Thomas Fraser, lately carrying on business as Contractors and Hotel Keepers at Hampden, in the Province of Otago, and Colony of New Zealand, has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

ABSTRACT from the “Provincial Government Gazette” of 26th August, 1863:—
Fresh tenders for the construction of a road from Dunedin Township to the junction of the Clutha and Kawaiaui Rivers; to be lodged by noon of 16th September, 1863. Dunedin Pound; 12 noon of 16th September, 1863. Moveable crane and weighbridge wanted; tenders to be lodged by noon of 6th October, 1863.

NOTICE is Hereby Given, that on and after the 2nd September proximo, Mails will be made up at this office for Kaitangata Township, every Wednesday and Friday at noon, and will be deliverable from the Post Office, Kaitangata, every Tuesday and Friday at 9 a.m.

SUPREME COURT, OTAGO. FURTHER POSTPONEMENT GRANTING.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in consequence of the requisite for the sitting of the Provincial Council, the next sitting for the despatch of Criminal Business will be adjourned to Monday, the 14th September next, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, and the sitting for the despatch of Civil Business will be adjourned to a day in December next, of which due notice will be given.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that meetings of Creditors of the under-named Petitioners for relief under the “Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862,” will be held at the Supreme Court House, Dunedin, on Monday, the 7th September instant, at the hours undermentioned, for the purpose of investigating the affairs of the respective Petitioners, and of nominating trustees to the Court, viz:—

Samuel Collins, at 10 o’clock a.m.
Peter Boitley, at half-past 10 o’clock a.m.
Thomas Fraser, at 11 o’clock a.m.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the next Examination of Candidates for admission as Solicitors and Barristers, will be Monday, 16th day of November next, at ten o’clock in the forenoon.

POSTAL.

TENDERS will be received, by this Office, on or before Saturday, the 12th September, for conveying the Mails to and from the Chief Post Office to steamers arriving at Dunedin, for the period of Six Months.

Tenders to be in box for carriage:

  • do to boatage
  • do bag cartage
  • do do boatage

The Government will not be bound to accept the lowest tender.

Security will be required for the due performance of the service.
