Dunedin aforesaid Restaurateur Mary
Ann Bredford of Dunedin aforesaid
Restaurateur Joseph Cope of Dunedin
aforesaid Restaurateur and to Edmund
W Santy also of Dunedin afore-
said Livery Stable Keeper, Greeting:
WHEREAS an action is now pending
W in our Supreme Court of New Zea-
land at Dunedin between Joseph Kohn
Frederick Kellerman and William Schwal-
bacher trading under the style of Joseph
Kohn and Company, of Dunedin afore-
said Mercantile Importers plaintiffs and
Samuel George Isaacs late of Dunedin
aforesaid Auctioneer defendant and in
order that the plaintiffs may proceed in
their action we command you and each of
you that you do retain and keep all and
singular lands and hereditaments monies
and chattels bills bonds and other property
of whatsoever nature in the custody or
under the control of you or either of
you at the time of the service of this Writ
belonging to the said Samuel George
Isaacs or to us in which the said defen-
dant shall at that time be legally or equi-
tably entitled or otherwise beneficially
interested in and whether solely or jointly
with any other person or persons: And
all debts of any kind then due by
you or either of you to the said defendant
although the same or any part thereof
may become due and payable on a future
day: And we further command you and
each of you that you in your own
proper persons be and appear before such
Judge of our said Supreme Court as shall
be sitting in Chambers on Saturday
the twenty-seventh day of June next at ten
o’clock in the forenoon and then to be ex-
amined touching the premises and to do
and receive what shall then and there be
considered of you in that behalf and this
you shall in no wise omit.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS.
HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTEN-
DENT directs it to be notified, that
Contractors must, in future, Tender for
Public Works in One Sum, and not, as
has hitherto been the practice, simply by
a Statement of Prices.

FRESH TENDERS will be again re-
ceived at the Office of His Honor
the Superintendent, until 12 o’clock noon
of Tuesday, the 16th inst., for the Con-
struction of about 115 Chains of Road,
leading from Taieri Ferry to Tokomai-
rito River.
Plans and Specifications may be seen,
and Forms of Tender obtained, at the
Office of the Road Engineer, Dunedin, and
at Goodall’s Hotel, Tokomairiro.

ROAD CONTRACTORS.
TENDERS will be received at the office
of His Honor the Superintendent
until 12 o’clock noon of Tuesday, the 16th
June, for the formation of about 4¼ miles
of road, from Tuapeka to Dunstan.
Plans and Specifications may be seen,
and Forms of Tender obtained, at the
Road Engineer’s Office, Dunedin, and at
the Police Station, Tuapeka.

PROCLAMATION
Prohibiting the Importation of Cattle
from Port Albert, in Gipp’s Land, into
the Province of Otago.
By the Honorable John Hyde Harris,
Esquire, Superintendent of the said
Province.
WHEREAS by section 9 of the “Di-
seased Cattle Act, 1861,” passed by
the General Assembly of New Zealand, it is
enacted, that if at any time it shall be made
to appear to the Governor that any infectious
or contagious disease has broken out in
any district out of the Colony, it shall be
lawful for the Governor, by order in
Council, to declare that such district is in-
fected within the meaning of the Act, and
from time to time to make such regula-
tions as to him shall seem fit for prohibiti-
ng the importation of Cattle...
