SECOND LIST.

UNDER the Regulations of the Ports and Harbours of the Province of Otago, each of the following parties have been exempted, as respects the Port of Otago (Dunedin), from the necessity of taking a Pilot for navigating any vessel of which he may be master.

10th May, 1862. Alfred Darby Steamer “City of Hobart.”
1st July, 1862. John Maxwell Doble Schooner “Jane.”
7th October, 1862. Hugh Mackie Steamer “Gothenburg”

The following is a copy of a letter signed by the Superintendent of the Province, exempting Thomas Robertson of the late Steamer “Pirate,” and which should have appeared in the first list, Gazette No. 181:—

Captain Thomas Robertson, S. S. “Pirate.”

Sir,—In compliance with the request conveyed to me in your letter of yesterday’s date, I have the honor to state that you are exempted from Pilotage, both at the Port and Bluff Harbour, and that instructions have been transmitted to the respective Harbour Masters to this effect.

TENDERS will be received, at the Office of His Honor the Superintendent, until Noon of Tuesday, the 14th of April, for the Erection of a Bridge over the River Tokomairiro.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, and at the Police Office, Tokomairiro.

TENDERS will be received at the office of His Honor the Superintendent for the Erection of BRIDGES over the Waipahi and Waikoikoi Rivers, until noon of Tuesday, April the 14th.

Plans and specifications may be seen, and forms of tender obtained, at the office of the Provincial Engineer, and at the Police Station, Popotunoa.

THE Ship GANONOQUE having arrived with a number of assisted Immigrants, families requiring domestic servants of a superior class, are requested to apply to the Matron of the Immigration Barracks, every lawful day, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
