APPROVAL OF APPOINTMENTS ON GOLD FIELDS.

SIR— I have the honor to forward copies of Gazettes, as per margin,* containing appointments to various offices on the Gold Fields, and Proclamation of the Wakatipu, and extension of the Dunstan Gold Fields, made and issued by me under the delegated authority from His Excellency the Governor.

The Wardens’ Clerks, and Bailiffs to the Wardens’ Courts, act in a similar capacity to the Courts of the Resident Magistrates.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that CHARLES HENRY HARDY, of Dunedin, in the Province of Otago, has this day submitted for my examination his Diploma as a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, as likewise his Diploma as Doctor of Medicine, from the University of Glasgow, as also his Diploma from the Rotunda Lying-in Hospital, Dublin, in accordance with the provisions of an Ordinance, passed by the Legislative Council of New Munster, Session 1, No. 2, of 1849, intituled “An Ordinance to define the qualifications, and to provide for the remuneration in certain cases of Medical Practitioners.”

Dated at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Dunedin, this 31st day of March, 1863.
