✨ Educational Districts Boundaries

  1. Saddlehill district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north by the East Taieri district;
    on the east by Green Island district; on
    the south by the ocean; and on the west
    by Blocks II and II, Otokia district.

  2. North Taieri district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north by the boundary of the Hundreds; on the east by Wakari and Green
    Island districts; on the south by East
    Taieri district; and on the west by the
    Taieri river.

  3. West Taieri district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north and west by the boundary of
    the Hundreds; on the east and south-east
    by the Taieri river; and on the south-west
    by the line dividing Blocks I and II, and
    the same line extended to the Taieri river
    on the one side, and the boundary of the
    Hundreds on the other.

  4. Waihola district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north-east by West Taieri district,
    and the Taieri river; on the south-east by
    the ocean; and on the west and south-west
    by Shag creek, thence by the watershed of
    the ranges over Station S and J to Gorge
    hill, Horse-shoe Bush hill, and the boundary of the Hundreds.

  5. Tokomairiro district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north-west by the boundary of the
    Hundreds; on the north-east by Waihola
    district; on the south by the ocean; and
    on the south-west by Rocky Valley creek,
    and the watershed over Mount Misery and
    Station H to the watershed of the ranges
    leading to Mount Stewart.

  6. Clutha district *
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north by the Pomahaka, Clutha,
    and Matau rivers; on the east by the Matau
    river and the ocean; on the south-west and
    west by the boundary of the Hundreds.
    This district also includes that portion of
    land on the north bank of the Clutha river
    and the Matau branch, comprised in Blocks
    IV to XIV inclusive, and also that area
    situated between the Clutha river and a
    straight line extending from the north-east
    corner of the Ferry Village reserve, and
    the road line forming the northern boundary of the aforesaid blocks.

  7. Waikouaiti district
    comprises all that area which is bounded
    on the north by Blocks I and II, Hawksbury survey district; on the east by the
    ocean; on the south by the southern boundary of the late Mr. Thomas Jones's property, thence by a straight line bearing due
    west to the limits of the Hundreds; and
    on the west by the boundary of the Hundreds.

  8. Goodwood district
    comprises Blocks I and II, Hawksbury
    survey district.

  9. Oamaru district
    comprises the town of Oamaru, and the
    whole of old and new Oamaru Hundreds.
