- If the Provincial Council of any Province shall by resolution declare their dissent from all or any of such appointments, regulations, &c’s, and proceedings, such resolutions shall be forthwith transmitted by the Speaker to the Governor for his consideration.

Slaughtering Cattle—Port Chalmers.
PROCLAMATION
By His Honor JOHN LARKINS CHEESE RICHARDSON, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
BY VIRTUE of the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, JOHN LARKINS CHEESE RICHARDSON, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby constitute and proclaim the Town of Port Chalmers, in the said Province, and the territory around the said Town, within three miles from the outer boundary thereof, to be a District for the purposes of an ordinance of the Lieutenant Governor and Legislative Council of New Zealand, Session 8, No. 3, intituled “An Ordinance for regulating the Slaughtering of Cattle in certain places,” and I do hereby proclaim, that from and after the first day of March next, no person shall keep a Slaughter House, or place for slaughtering cattle intended for sale, barter, shipping, or for exportation, except such house or place be duly licensed for that purpose, in manner provided in and by the said recited Ordinance.
Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this sixth day of January, one thousand, eight hundred and sixty-two.

residing at Port Chalmers (vice William Packard, dismissed), to grant certificates under the Proclamation of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, dated 21st June, 1861, prohibiting the importation of Diseased Cattle into the Colony of New Zealand.

to be a Receiver of all Fees for Miners’ Rights, for Business and other Licenses, and all Fines, Fees, and other Revenue whatsoever arising out of and accruing from the Tuapeka Gold Field and any future extension thereof. And also to take charge of and safely keep in the chest or safe to be provided for that purpose all such bags and parcels of Gold as any of the Miners or other persons at the said Gold Field may require to be sent to Dunedin, and deliver the same to the Commander of the Escort appointed for the Conveyance thereof to Dunedin; to act on and after 1st November next, vice Thomas Windle Parker, appointed R.M., Oamaru.
