HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR has
been pleased to appoint the following
persons to be Registrars under "the Re-
gistration Act, 1858," for the Districts set
opposite their names, as those Districts are
described in a Proclamation bearing date
the 21st February, 1861 :—
Oamaru—CHARLES TRAILL.
North Taieri—ROBERT SINCLAIR
GARDNER.
E. W. STAFFORD.
NOTE.—These appointments have been re-
gazetted in consequence of clerical errors in the
names in Gazette No. 10, of the 23rd Feb., 1861,
fol. 58.

land, passed in the eighteenth year of the
reign of her Majesty Queen Victoria, and
entitled "The Marriage Act, 1854," the
following Names of OFFICIATING MINIS-
TERS, within the meaning of the said Act,
are published for general information :—

The Reverend JOSEPH TAYLOR SHAW.
I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General
of Births, Deaths, and Marriages in New
Zealand, do hereby certify that the fore-
going NAMES of OFFICIATING MINISTERS,
within the meaning of "The Marriage Act,
1854," have been sent in to me, in addition
to the Names in Lists published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 6 of the 31st of
January, No. 15 of the 21st of March, No.
19 of the 17th of April, and No. 20 of the
23rd of April, in the present year.
Given under my hand, at Auckland,
this twenty-ninth day of April,

A PROCLAMATION
Appointing Circuit Courts to be held at
Dunedin.
By His Excellency Colonel THOMAS
GORE BROWNE, Companion of
the Most Honourable Order
of the Bath, Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and
over Her Majesty's Colony of
New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies, and Vice-Admiral
of the same, &c. &c. &c.
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL
COME, GREETING:
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Supreme Courts Act, 1860," it is
provided that there shall be held Circuit
Courts for the despatch of civil and crimi-
nal business of the Court before one of the
Judges thereof at such places and times at
the Governor in Council may from time to
time appoint : And whereas by a Procla-
mation dated the 26th day of February
1861, Circuit Courts were appointed to be
held for the Southern District of the said
Colony at the Town of Christchurch on
the days therein mentioned, and it is ex-
pedient that Circuit Courts shall also
be held for the said District at Dunedin :
Now, therefore, I, the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of New Zealand, do hereby pro-
claim and appoint that Circuit Courts shall
be held at Dunedin in the Southern Dis-
trict of the said Colony on the 15th day of
January and the 15th day of July in every
year, or so soon after each of the said days
as conveniently may be : And in case any
one of the said days so fixed as aforesaid
shall happen to be a Sunday or holiday,
then the Court appointed for such day
shall be held on the day following.

May, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight
hundred and sixty-one.
