PORT CHALMERS TOWN BOARD.
ELECTION OF ONE PERSON MEMBER OF THE TOWN BOARD.

In pursuance of the Port Chalmers and Invercargill Town Boards Ordinance, Session VIII., No. 39, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do hereby appoint the Electors entitled to vote for Members for the Town of Port Chalmers in the Provincial Council of Otago, to assemble upon Monday, 4th day of March, 1861, at 12 o\'clock, within the School-house, Port Chalmers, for the purpose of Electing One Person to be a Member of the said Town Board, in room of Mr. John Elmer, who has resigned his seat as a Member of the said Board.

And further, in pursuance of the said Ordinance, I hereby appoint John Gillies, Esq., of Dunedin, Returning Officer, to preside at said Meeting, and, in the event of a Poll being demanded, I hereby appoint the Polling to take place in the School-room, in Port Chalmers, on Tuesday, 5th day of March, 1861.
