PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed by the Superintendent of the said Province, by and with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, intituled the "Pastoral Districts Ordinance, 1859," it is enacted that "it shall be lawful for the Superintendent from time to time, by proclamation in the 'Provincial Government Gazette,' to constitute Districts within the Province, which shall be called Pastoral Districts; and at any time, by like proclamation, to limit, extend, or otherwise vary the boundaries thereof: And whereas it is necessary to vary, as aforementioned, the Boundaries of the two following Pastoral Districts proclaimed by the Superintendent on the nineteenth day of January, 1860.
NOW THEREFORE I, the said Superintendent, do hereby Proclaim and Declare that the Boundaries of Waikouaiti and Dunedin Pastoral Districts shall, until otherwise notified, be as follows, viz.:β
WAIKOUAITI PASTORAL DISTRICT.
North by Oamaru and Moeraki Pastoral Districts, and a line including the following Runs, and running along their outside boundaries, viz., Runs numbered respectively 227 and 228.
East by the Ocean.
South by a line including the following Runs, and running along their outside boundaries, viz., Runs numbered respectively 4, 77, 218, 39n, 308, 261, and 220.
West by a line including the following Runs, and running along their outside boundaries, viz., Runs numbered respectively 221, 223, 226, and 228.
DUNEDIN PASTORAL DISTRICT.
North and East by Waikouaiti Pastoral District.
South by the line of Hundreds to the Clutha.
West by Clutha River.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this fifteenth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.
