His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the "Resident Magistrates' Court Act, 1858," it is enacted that the Fees to be taken in respect of any proceedings in any Resident Magistrate's Court may be varied, abolished, and fixed, as the Governor in Council shall from time to time direct and appoint:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby direct and appoint that the Fees to be taken in respect of proceedings in the Resident Magistrate's Courts held within any District constituted a Gold Field under the "Gold Fields' Act, 1858," shall be as follows, namely,—

Summons and all proceedings to and including adjudication and order ... 1 10 0
Adjudication, by consent, and order without previous summons ... 1 0 0
For every mile above ten miles which the Resident Magistrate may be required to travel for the purpose of hearing any case ... 0 2 0

IN order to assimilate the designation of the Volunteer Force in New Zealand to that in England, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to direct that in naming Corps and Companies, the word "Volunteer" be affixed last, instead of as heretofore.
