PROCLAMATION.
(From the New Zealand Gazette, Sep. 21, 1860.)
AT THE GOVERNMENT HOUSE, AT AUCKLAND, THE 19TH DAY OF SEPTEMBER, 1860.
Present :
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
Assembly of New Zealand, intituled
"The Waste Lands Act, 1858," it is
enacted that at any time the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Governor
vince shall recommend to the Governor
that an augmentation should be made in
the price at which the Waste Lands of the
Crown within such Province shall be offered
for sale, either by selection or by auction,
it shall be lawful for the Governor in
Council, if he think fit, to fix such price
accordingly: And whereas on the 18th
day of July 1860, it was resolved by the
Provincial Council of the Province of
Otago, in session assembled, that the said
Council do recommend the Governor to
augment from ten shillings to one pound
the price at which Rural Waste Land
of the Crown within the said Province
shall be offered for sale by selection, or
auction whenever such land shall be applied for by more than one applicant on
the same day, as provided for by the 11th
clause of the Waste Land Regulations of
the said Province, mentioned in the schedule to the said Act: And whereas by a
writing under the hand of James Macandrew, Esquire, the Superintendent of the
said Province, bearing date the said 18th
day of July, it is witnessed that he the said
Superintendent did concur in the above-
recited resolution of the said Provincial
Council, and did recommend the Governor
to augment from ten shillings to one
pound, the price at which the Rural Waste
Land of the Crown within the said Province shall be offered for sale by selection,
or by auction whenever such land shall
be applied for by more than one applicant
on the same day, as provided for by the
said 11th clause of the said Waste Land
Regulations: And whereas it is expedient
to make such augmentation in the price at
which the said Waste Lands of the Crown
within the said Province of Otago shall be
offered for sale :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, doth
hereby order and fix that the price per
acre at which Rural Waste Land of the
Crown within the said Province of Otago
shall be offered for sale by selection or by
auction whenever such land shall be applied for by more than one applicant on
the same day, as provided for by the 11th
clause of the Waste Land Regulations of
the said Province mentioned in the schedule to the said Act, shall be the sum of
one pound:
And doth declare that this Order shall
come into operation and take effect on the
First day of November next.

1858," it is enacted that the fees to be
taken in respect of any proceedings in any
Resident Magistrate's Court may be varied,
abolished, and fixed, as the Governor in
Council shall from time to time direct and
appoint: Now, therefore, His Excellency
the Governor, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, Doth
hereby fix that, from and after the First
day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty, the Fees to be taken in
respect of proceedings in any Resident
Magistrate's Court in the Colony shall be
as follows, that is to say—
