Dunedin, 14th July 1858.—We, Auditors appointed in pursuance of the “Board of Audit Ordinance,” Session II., No. 2, having examined the Accounts of the Provincial Treasurer for the Quarter ending 30th June 1858, find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Receipts for the Quarter amounted to £9,028: 4s: 10d, and the Expenditure to £9,039: 19s: 5d, (including the Balance due to the Treasurer at the end of last Quarter) and showing a Balance due to the Union Bank of Australia of £4,730: 15s: 6d, and a Balance in the Treasurer's hands of £174: 0s: 11d.
