HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that PETER PRINCEROOT, Esquire, M.P.C., has resigned his seat as a Member of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT has been pleased to direct it to be notified that he has appointed WILLIAM HENRY CUTTEN, Esquire, M.P.C., and WILLIAM CARR YOUNG, Esquire, M.P.C., to be Members of the Executive Council of the Province of Otago.

NOTICE.

PROVINCE OF OTAGO,
TO WIT.

WHEREAS a Writ under the hand of His Honor William Cargill, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, bearing date the Eleventh day of August, in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-seven, and under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago aforesaid, hath been directed to me Alfred Chetham Strode, Esquire, Returning Officer for the Town of Dunedin District of the said Province, requiring and commanding me to cause to be elected from and amongst the voters duly qualified for that purpose, freely and indifferently, and in manner and form by law prescribed, One Person to serve as a member for the Town

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that the Executive Council having been re-constructed, it now consists of the following gentlemen, viz.:
