Should interference occur to services licensed pursuant to a radio licence or a spectrum licence, the chief executive reserves the right to require and ensure that any transmission or any emission pursuant to this General User Radio Licence change frequency, reduce power, or cease operation.

Transmissions that are broadcasting, as defined in the Broadcasting Act 1989, are not permitted.

Consequential revocation of licence—(1) The Radiocommunications Regulations (General User Radio Licence for Short Range Devices) Notice 2017, dated 2 February 2017 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 2 February 2017, Issue No. 11, Notice No. 2017-go415, is revoked.
(2) Notwithstanding the revocation of the notice under subsection (1), every transmitter capable of making transmissions compliant with the requirements of that notice on the commencement date of this notice is deemed to be compliant with the requirements of this notice.

Explanatory note
This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.
This notice includes new provisions in the frequency ranges 5250 – 7000 MHz, 8500 – 10000 MHz, 24050 – 26500 MHz and 75000 – 85000 MHz for radiodetermination transmitters operated within shielded enclosure, such as tank level probing radars in compliance with ETSI EN 302 372-1. Such use is limited to installation inside the shielded enclosure where the signal leakage as measured at 3 metres outside this enclosure must not exceed –54 dBW e.i.r.p. as prescribed in special condition 27.

Notice Under the Animal Products Act 1999 (Notice No. MPI 800)
Pursuant to section 164 of the Animal Products Act 1999, notice is given of the issue on 7 August 2017 of the Animal Products Notice: Specifications for Laboratories, which came into force on 8 August 2017.
A copy of this notice may be inspected free of charge, or purchased at a reasonable cost, at the office of the Ministry for Primary Industries, 25 The Terrace (PO Box 2526), Wellington.
