Whanganui Community Foundation Incorporated Boundary Adjustment Proposal
The purpose of this notice is to notify the public, pursuant to section 16A of the Community Trusts Act 1999, that the Trustees of Whanganui Community Foundation Incorporated ("WCF") intend to submit a scheme to the Minister of Finance to adjust the boundary of the region within which WCF provides charitable assistance ("Scheme").
The Scheme proposes altering the northern boundary between the region WCF operates within and the boundaries of the TSB Community Trust ("TSB") region such that the boundaries of WCF and TSB align with the boundary of the South Taranaki District Council as designated in the Local Government (Taranaki Region) Reorganisation Order 1989.
The towns of Patea and Waverley will thereafter be within the TSB region. The Scheme includes the transfer of the sum of $350,000.00 from WCF to TSB in recognition of the additional area TSB will be responsible for and in recognition of contribution of capital related to the area which is to be within the TSB region.
An amendment to the WCF Trust Deed will be required to give effect to the proposed adjustment. WCF has previously consulted on this proposed scheme from approximately October 2012 to April 2013 and the previous consultation reports are available upon request from WCF via the email or postal addresses below.
We invite persons residing within the legislative area of the Trust (persons principally living in the area comprising Whanganui, Rangitikei, Waimarino, Patea and Waverley) to make written submissions regarding the proposed boundary adjustment to the Trustees of the Trust by 5.00pm on Wednesday 19 July 2017.
