Notice of Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence

Further to notices published in the New Zealand Gazette, 23 February 2017, Issue No. 19, Notice No. 2017-go796 and 16 March 2017, Issue No. 29, Notice No. 2017-go1207, and pursuant to section 87J(6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, sections 28, 29 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 29 October 2013, and a sub-delegation from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Transport dated 3 November 2013, I give notice that, having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport has varied the Scheduled International Air Service Licence held by that airline to provide for:

  • open destination points in Italy;
  • thrice weekly services to Haneda airport, Tokyo, Japan;
  • services to Laos, without capacity constraints; and
  • code-share services to Stockholm, Sweden, via Moscow and Singapore.

I also advise that the Minister for Transport has renewed the Scheduled International Air Service Licence issued to Air New Zealand for a period of ten years, pursuant to 87I(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990.

This variation took effect from 17 April 2017.

Appointment to Hutt Valley District Health Board

Pursuant to section 28(1)(a) of the Crown Entities Act 2004, the Minister of Health has appointed

Kimbal Stephen von Lanthen

as a member of the board of the Hutt Valley District Health Board, for a term of office commencing on the date of publication of this notice and ending on 4 December 2019.

Reappointments to the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation

Pursuant to section 28 and Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, I, the Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy, GNZM, QSO, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby reappoint

Lindsay Megan Wright, of Hong Kong, China

as a member and Deputy Chair of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation for a term of one year commencing on 1 November 2017 and ending on 31 October 2018; and

Philippa Jane Dunphy, of Auckland

as a member of the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation for a term of two years commencing on 1 May 2017 and ending on 30 April 2019.
