The state of local emergency comes into force immediately on the making of this declaration, and expires seven days after the time and date on which it comes into force (unless extended or terminated at an earlier time).

Declaration Terminating State of Local Emergency

Pursuant to section 72 of the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act 2002, I, Andrew Geoffrey Watson, terminate the state of local emergency declared at Rangitikei on 4 April 2017 at 5.30pm for Rangitikei District Council owing to flooding.

The termination of the state of local emergency takes effect immediately on the making of this declaration.
