Government Roading Powers (Declaration of Motorway in Auckland City) Order 2017

Present:
Her Excellency the Governor-General Presiding in Council

Pursuant to section 71(1)(b) of the Government Roading Powers Act 1989, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the advice and with the consent of the Executive Council and at the request of the NZ Transport Agency, makes the following order.

Order

  1. Title—This order is the Government Roading Powers (Declaration of Motorway in Auckland City) Order 2017.

  2. Commencement—This order comes into force 28 days from the date it receives publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. Motorway declared—The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a motorway.

Schedule

Specified Road

The section of State Highway 20 being those traffic lanes, shoulders, and verges commencing at Hillsborough Road Interchange (Route Position 10/6.150) and extending in a generally northerly direction through the Waterview Connection twin road tunnels for approximately 7.2km to Great North Road Interchange, including the motorway ramps and connections to and from Hillsborough Road, Dominion Road, Maioro Street Extension and State Highway 16.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order, which comes into force 28 days from the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette, declares a section of State Highway 20 in Auckland City to be a motorway.

Notice of Revocation of the Application of the Engineering Associates Act 1961 to Associations

Pursuant to section 2 and the Schedule of the Engineering Associates Act 1961 (“Act”), I hereby give notice of the revocation of the application of the Act to the following associations and the removal of those associations’ ability to nominate a member to the Engineering Associates Registration Board:

  • The New Zealand Institute of Engineering Sciences Incorporated.
  • The Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technologists (N.Z.) Incorporated.

The revocation takes effect on 17 March 2017.
