2.3 replacing the speed limit on the section of State Highway 1 from 450m north of the intersection with State Highway 7 to 650m south of the intersection with State Highway 7 with "80";

2.4 replacing the speed limit on the section of State Highway 7 from the intersection with State Highway 1S to 500m north of the intersection with State Highway 1S with "80";

2.5 in the section relating to State Highway 7, replacing "90m north of Stock Road, Culverden" with "90m south of Stock Road, Culverden" in both places; and

2.6 in the section relating to State Highway 7, replacing "930m south of the south end of the Glenallan Stream bridge" with "1500m north of the intersection with State highway 7A" in both places.

Explanatory note

This note is not part of this notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice, which takes effect from the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette, renews the emergency rule for a further period of 90 days, and will now be in force until the close of 18 June 2017.

This notice also amends the Schedule to the emergency rule by:

  1. Removing the section of State Highway 6 between Blenheim and Woodbourne from the application of the emergency rule;

  2. removing the section of State Highway 6 through Murchison from the application of the emergency rule;

  3. raising the speed limit from 60km/h to 80km/h on specified sections of State Highways 1S and 7 adjacent to the point at which they intersect;

  4. extending the section of State Highway 7 through Culverden on which the speed limit is 50km/h to south of the intersection with Stock Road; and

  5. reducing the speed limit on the section of State Highway 7 adjacent to the intersection with State Highway 7A (Hanmer Springs turn-off) to 80km/h.
