This notice is issued pursuant to section 4 of the Electricity Act 1992 and declares

Cappella Power Limited

to be an electricity operator for the purposes of section 24 of the Electricity Act 1992.

Notice

Title—This notice is the Declaration of Electricity Operator (Cappella Power Limited) Notice 2017.
Commencement—This notice comes into force on the date it is signed by the Minister of Energy and Resources.
Application—This notice applies to Cappella Power Limited, a New Zealand registered limited liability company.

Explanatory note

This note is for explanatory purposes only.

The Declaration of Electricity Operator (Cappella Power Limited) Notice 2017 declares an electricity distributor to be an electricity operator under the Electricity Act 1992.

Cappella Power Limited is declared an operator only for the purposes of section 24 of the Electricity Act 1992, which gives it rights to construct and maintain electricity works on roads.
