(3) Where the term “verify” is used it refers to formal verification for the purposes of any Act or regulations that
apply to the work.

The Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (“Board”), issues the following notices under section 142 of the
Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006 (“Act”), to amend the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers (Fees,
and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy) Notice 2016, published in the New Zealand Gazette, 17 December 2015,
Issue No. 141, Notice No. 2015-gs7303.
Notice
1. Title—This notice is the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers (Fees, and Disciplinary and Prosecution Levy)
Amendment Notice 2016 (No. 2).
2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on 6 December 2016.
3. Principal notice—This notice amends the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board (Fees, and Disciplinary
and Prosecution Levy) Notice 2016 (“principal notice”).
4. Purpose—This notice replaces paragraphs 1 and 3 in the Schedule of the principal notice to include a
registration and licensing fee for journeymen plumbers, journeymen gasfitters and journeymen drainlayers. This
notice also replaces the name of the registration class “licensed” with the new name “tradesman”, and revokes
paragraph 10 of the principal notice to remove the fee for a copy of an archived paper gas certificate.
5. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
Act means the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Act 2006.
Board means the Plumbers, Gasfitters, and Drainlayers Board.
(2) Any term or expression that is defined in the Act that is used but not defined in this notice has the same
meaning as in the Act.
6. Paragraph 1 of Schedule replaced
Paragraph 1 of the Schedule is replaced with:
“1. Registration—An individual who applies to be registered must pay the relevant fee(s):
