Land and Reserve Notices

NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 95 — 20 OCTOBER 2016

Notice is hereby given that the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the Schedule to this notice ("land").

The land is required for road, and will form part of Tikokino Road.

The reasons why Council considers it reasonably necessary to take the land are:

a. Part of the land physically forms part of Tikokino Road and the Council wishes to take ownership of the land to formalise its current use.

b. The land is required for the provision of safe and efficient traffic flow in this area of Tikokino Road.

c. The balance of land was intended to be road to provide access to the adjoining owner at the time of road deviation but was never formally declared road.

d. Council wishes to take ownership of all of the land as a practical and pragmatic solution to formalise the intended use and provide access to an adjoining owner.

The last known registered proprietor of the land is deceased. The successors to the owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Central Hawke’s Bay District Council’s intention to take the land by way of public advertising, and notified of their right to object.

Any other person having the right to object may send a written objection to the Registrar, Environment Court, 5th Floor, District Court Building, 49 Ballance Street, Wellington 6011, or by post to PO Box 5027, Wellington 6145, or DX SX10044, Wellington, within 20 working days after the date of publication of this notice.

If any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing will be held with the right of the objector to appear and be heard personally, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be informed of the time and place of the hearing.

Any person requiring further information in respect of this advice should contact Jesse Taylor, The Property Group Limited, Level 1, 6 Albion Street, Napier. Postal Address: PO Box 49, Napier 4140. Telephone: (06) 834 1237.
