In accordance with section 223 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, WorkSafe New Zealand ("WorkSafe") gives notice that the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety has approved the Approved Code of Practice: Management and Removal of Asbestos.

The approved code of practice will come into force 28 days after the date of publication of this notice and will be available on WorkSafe’s website

www.worksafe.govt.nz

The approved code of practice will be available for purchase in hardcopy, for a reasonable charge, and for inspection at WorkSafe’s office at Level 6, 86 Customhouse Quay, Wellington 6011.

Notice of the Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Dispatchable Demand During Tight Market Conditions) 2016

  1. Under section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 ("Act"), and having complied with section 39 of that Act, the Electricity Authority ("Authority") gives notice of making the Electricity Industry Participation Code Amendment (Dispatchable Demand During Tight Market Conditions) 2016 ("amendment").

  2. The amendment comes into force on 3 November 2016.

  3. The amendment amends clauses 13.13 and 13.189 of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 ("Code") to restrict the bid prices for dispatch-capable load stations.

  4. A copy of the amendment and the Code is available on the Authority’s website

  1. A copy of the amendment and the Code may also be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Authority, Level 7, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.

Revocation of Notices Under Section 24 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975

Pursuant to section 24(7) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, I, John Crawshaw, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Health, revoke the approval of the CareNZ Wairarapa Addiction Service and medical practitioner issued under this section on 7 March 2014 (published in the New Zealand Gazette, 13 March 2014, No. 29, page 831) effective 1 October 2016.
