Notification of Commerce Commission’s Decision to Investigate Making a Determination for the Local and Cellular Number Portability Designated Multinetwork Services Under the Telecommunications Act 2001
On 25 August 2016, the Commerce Commission (“Commission”) decided to initiate the process for a designated multinetwork service determination for local and cellular number portability under section 31AA of the Telecommunications Act 2001 (“Act”).
Under section 34(c) of the Act, the Commission requested comments from the parties to the designated multinetwork service determination for local and cellular number portability. The Commission has considered the comments received from the parties.
Pursuant to section 35 of the Act, the Commission gives public notice of its decision to investigate making a designated multinetwork service determination for local and cellular number portability.
