Issue of Code of Welfare: Horses and Donkeys (Notice No. MPI 573)

I hereby give notice that, under section 75 of the Animal Welfare Act 1999, the Code of Welfare: Horses and Donkeys is issued on 28 January 2016, being the date it is notified in the New Zealand Gazette, and comes into effect on 29 January 2016, being the day after the date it is notified in the New Zealand Gazette.

The Code is available for inspection free of charge and for purchase at the following address:

Approval of Bay of Plenty District Health Board Addiction Service and Clinician to Provide Substitution Treatment Under Section 24 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975

Pursuant to section 24(7)(b) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, I, John Crawshaw, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Health, specify the Bay of Plenty District Health Board Addiction Service as a service that may provide treatment with controlled drugs for people who are dependent on controlled drugs, at the following place:

Kowhai House
Tauranga Hospital
Cameron Road
Tauranga 3112

And, pursuant to section 24(7)(a) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, acting under delegated authority from the Minister of Health, I specify

Dr Susan Mackersey

as a medical practitioner, may:

a. prescribe, administer or supply controlled drugs for the treatment of dependence to controlled drugs as the lead clinician for Bay of Plenty District Health Board Addiction Service;

b. authorise in writing service/clinic medical practitioners as specified under subsection (2)(b) to:
