NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 7 — 28 JANUARY 2016
2016 approved rule changes for the licensed markets operated by NZX Limited, as contained in the Financial Markets Conduct Act (NZ Markets Disciplinary Tribunal Rules) Approval of Market Rules Notice 2016.
The following rules have been approved:

Notice of Exemption From Maritime Rules: 20.21(b); 31.86(1); 31.86(2)(a), Table 16
Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

18 from Maritime Rule 20.21(b) – Operating Limits – Requirement to operate within lesser of operating limits assigned to ship or operating limits that apply to Master – Operating limits within which a master of a ship may perform his or her functions and duties under the privileges associated with the master’s certificate of competency set out in Part 32

18 from Maritime Rule 31.86(1) – Crewing and Watchkeeping – Ships other than ships to which subparts B and C apply – Minimum crewing requirements for fishing vessels – Owner and master of a fishing vessel must not operate that vessel unless there are on board seafarers holding the minimum required certificates and the minimum number of crew in the applicable table and accompanying flow-chart
