NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 54 — 16 JUNE 2016

Pursuant to clause 5(c) of Schedule 1 of the Electricity Industry Act 2010 ("Act"), I give notice that the Electricity Authority ("Authority") adopts a replacement policy statement for the purposes of clause 8.12B of the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 ("Code").

  1. The adoption of the policy statement has effect from 21 June 2016.

  2. The policy statement is a document incorporated by reference into the Code as having legal effect in accordance with section 32 of the Act.

  3. A copy of the policy statement and the Code is available on the Authority’s website www.ea.govt.nz/code-and-compliance/the-code/

  4. A copy of the policy statement and the Code may also be inspected free of charge or purchased from the Electricity Authority, Level 7, ASB Bank Tower, 2 Hunter Street, Wellington.

Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting, during the period from 18 April 2016 to 7 June 2016, of the following exemptions:

  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.3 – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Requirement to hold Maritime Transport Operator Certificate
  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.41 – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Maritime Transport Operator Plan requirements
  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.42(1) – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Develop and document maritime transport operator safety system in the Maritime Transport Operator Plan
  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.43(1) – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Develop and apply a survey plan
  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.45(1) – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Develop and apply a maintenance plan
  • 21 from Maritime Rule 19.46(1) – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Develop relevant safety equipment list and a spare parts list
  • 25 from Maritime Rule 19.62(1) – Maritime Transport Operator - Certification and Responsibilities - Operating Requirements - Maritime transport operator responsible for safe ships - Valid Certificate of Survey issued under Rule 44.41
