Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Al-Madinah School (544) Board of Trustees

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby direct the appointment of a limited statutory manager for the Al-Madinah School (544) Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

  • All functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise);
  • all functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise); and
  • all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage health and safety responsibilities (whether statutory or otherwise) relating to the management of complaints about safety and wellbeing of students and staff.

The board will retain its primary duty of care as PCBU under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 above and beyond all functions, powers and duties of this limited statutory manager.

A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on board systems and processes including complaints management, communications with the school and its community and reviewing the composition of the board.

This notice takes effect on the date of publication.

Notice Under the Climate Change (Forestry Sector) Regulations 2008 (Notice No. MPI 628)

Pursuant to Regulation 7(1) of the Climate Change (Forestry Sector) Regulations 2008, I hereby issue, by publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, the Field Measurement Approach Standard.

This standard comes into effect on 1 June 2016 and will revoke and replace the Field Measurement Approach Standard effective from 15 June 2012.

A copy of the standard may be obtained from the office of the Ministry for Primary Industries, Pastoral House, 25 The Terrace, Wellington.

It can also be viewed on the Ministry for Primary Industries’ website
www.mpi.govt.nz
