Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 31.43(1)(a)–(b) - Crewing and Watchkeeping - SOLAS and STCW ships - Unlimited area - Requirements for ships operating in unlimited areas to carry at least navigational and engine room watchkeepers as specified

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 40C.7(1)(a)(i) - Design, Construction and Equipment - Non-passenger ships that are not
