Amendment to Register of Political Parties and Logos

Pursuant to Part 4 of the Electoral Act 1993, on 17 February 2016 the Electoral Commission determined an application to change the party name abbreviation of the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party as follows:

Old Party Name Abbreviation: ALCP

New Party Name Abbreviation: The Cannabis Party

Pursuant to Part 4 of the Electoral Act 1993, on 17 February 2016 the Electoral Commission also considered an application for the registration of a substitute Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party logo. Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party’s substitute logo can be viewed at

The Electoral Commission resolved to register the party’s substitute logo in accordance with section 71F of the Electoral Act 1993. The register will be updated accordingly.

Pursuant to section 47(3) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime New Zealand hereby notifies the granting of the following exemptions:

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.3 – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Requirement to hold Maritime Transport Operator Certificate

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.41 – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and all its requirements

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.42(1) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Maritime transport operator must develop and document a maritime transport operator safety system in the Maritime Transport Operator Plan

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.43(1) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Survey plan – Maritime transport operator must ensure that a survey plan is developed and applied

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.45(1) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Maintenance plan – A maritime transport operator must develop and apply a maintenance plan

  • 1 from Maritime Rule 19.46(1) – Maritime Transport Operator – Certification and Responsibilities – Maritime Transport Operator Plan and maritime transport operator safety system – Safety equipment list and spare
