“The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:
- All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise).
A limited statutory manager must also advise the board on the following matters:
- Consolidating all new and improved systems into board management practice; and
- exercising its governance powers.
The board will retain its primary duty of care as a person conducting a business or undertaking, under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, above and beyond all functions, powers and duties of this limited statutory manager.”
This notice takes effect on the date of publication.

Pursuant to sections 5 and 5B of the District Courts Act 1947 and section 354(3) of the Criminal Procedure Act 2011, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
Richard John Earwaker, Acting District Court Judge
to be a District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand and to conduct jury trials for a term commencing on 31 October 2016.

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand has been pleased to appoint
Charles Stuart Blackie, retiring District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, and to exercise the criminal jurisdiction of the District Courts under Part 2A of the District Courts Act 1947, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, for a term of two years commencing on 22 January 2017; and
David Graham Mather, retiring District Court Judge
to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction within New Zealand, at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, for a term of two years commencing on 4 March 2017.
