Change of Class of Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Takitimu (Hastings) (1674)

Pursuant to section 153(1) of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Te Wānanga Whare Tapere o Takitimu (1674) will become a Year 1–13 wharekura from 28 January 2016 and cease to be a Year 1–8 kura on that day.

The wharekura will enrol students in stages as follows:

Year 1–10 students in 2016.
Year 1–11 students in 2017.
Year 1–12 students in 2018.
Year 1–13 students in 2019.

The enrolment of Year 11–13 students is dependent on a positive Education Review Office readiness review of planning for senior secondary school provision.
