Notice Setting Apart General Land as a Māori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338(1)(a) of Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Māori Land Court, the general land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Māori reservation for the purpose of protection of the wāhi tapu known as Te Haehaenga Reserve for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Ngāti Tūwharetoa ki Kawerau, Ngāti Hau and Ngāti Te Ngaro being hapū of Te Arawa (closely affiliated to Tūhourangi and Ngāti Rangitihi).

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Natalie Randrup, Land Information New Zealand:

a. Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the road described in the First Schedule to this notice to be stopped and amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register 562421;

b. Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the road described in the Second Schedule to this notice to be stopped and amalgamated with the land in Computer Freehold Register 562422
