Notification of Marine Protection Rules

In accordance with section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, Maritime New Zealand gives notice of the making of the following marine protection rules:

Part 131: Offshore Installations – Oil Spill Contingency Plans and Oil Pollution Prevention Certification

All listed rules come into force on 31 October 2015.

Rules are available for inspection free of charge, or for purchase at a cost, from Maritime New Zealand, Level 11, 1 Grey Street, Wellington, or on the Maritime New Zealand website at www.maritimenz.govt.nz/rules

Notification of Proposed Maritime Rules

In accordance with section 446(a) of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, Maritime New Zealand, on behalf of the Minister of Transport, gives notice of the Minister’s intention to make the following maritime rules:

Maritime Labour Convention Rule Amendments 2015

The proposed amendments create a new Part 52, as well as amendments to Parts 31, 34 and 51.

The purpose of the amendments is to enable New Zealand to become a party to the Maritime Labour Convention.

Comments are invited on the above-proposed maritime rules developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994.

The consultation document and online submission form can be found at www.maritimenz.govt.nz/consultation

Submissions must be made online, by email, or by post by 30 October 2015.

Copies of the consultation document are available free of charge from Maritime New Zealand, Level 11, 1 Grey
