A limited statutory manager may also advise the board on general matters of governance and effective functioning of the board including those raised by the Education Review Office.

The following condition applies to the exercising of the powers by the limited statutory manager (LSM):

  • The LSM must consult with the board on employment matters that may have financial implications for the board.

This notice takes effect on the date of publication.

Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement (Extension to Waikato-East Negotiation Period in Coromandel Harbour) Notice 2015 (Notice No. MPI 536)

Pursuant to section 11(3) of the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Claims Settlement Act 2004 ("the Act"), the Minister for Primary Industries, after complying with the requirements in section 11(4) of that Act, gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Maori Commercial Aquaculture Settlement (Extension to Waikato-East Negotiation Period in Coromandel Harbour) Notice 2015.

(2) This notice comes into force on 24 September 2015.

  1. Interpretation—In this notice:

Waikato-East negotiation period means the period up to and including 30 September 2015, applying to the Waikato-East region (by virtue of a notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 18 June 2015, Issue No. 68, Notice No. 2015-go3553, No. MPI 492, extending the negotiation period for the Waikato-East region), being the period referred to in section 11(2)(a) of the Act within which the Crown must use its best endeavours to negotiate and enter into a regional agreement that provides for the Crown to meet its obligations in respect of new space for that region.

Region has the same meaning as in section 4 of the Act.

  1. Extension to negotiation period—Under section 11(3) of the Act, the Waikato-East negotiation period referred to in clause 2 of this notice is extended to 30 September 2016.

Approval of Victims Code

I hereby give notice that, pursuant to sections 51B, 51C and 51D of the Victims’ Rights Act 2002 (as inserted by the Victims’ Rights Amendment Act 2014), the Victims Code was approved by the Minister of Justice, the Honourable Amy Adams, on 18 September 2015.

The code sets out how victims of crime can expect to be treated by government agencies and organisations that provide services to victims.

The code is available on the Victims Information website at

www.victimsinfo.govt.nz
