Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003

Oral Health Practitioners (Fees) Notice 2014 (No. 2)

Pursuant to sections 130–133 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (the "Act"), the following notice is given.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Oral Health Practitioners (Fees) Notice 2014 (No. 2) and shall come into force on 1 October 2014.

(2) This notice has the status of a disallowable instrument for the purposes of the Legislation Act 2012.

(3) This notice replaces the Oral Health Practitioners (Fees) Notice 2014 (No. 1) notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 27 February 2014, No. 24, page 733.

2. Fees—The Dental Council sets the following fees specified in the attached Schedule.

3. Tax—The fees are stated exclusive of goods and services tax (GST). All fees are subject to the addition of 15% GST.

Registration Fees
New Zealand Qualified or NZDREX Qualified Applicant

• Application for registration 456.48

Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (TTMR) Applicant
Dentists and Dental Specialists
Application for registration and annual practising certificate comprising:

(a) Application for registration 456.48
(b) Annual practising certificate fee 716.11
(c) Disciplinary levy 87.59

TTMR applicants for registration (not previously registered in New Zealand) who apply for a practising certificate within four months of the end of the annual recertification cycle ending on 30 September 2015, pay a four month practising fee of $238.70 and disciplinary levy of $29.20.

Dental Hygienists and Orthodontic Auxiliaries
Application for registration and annual practising certificate comprising:

(a) Application for registration 456.48
(b) Annual practising certificate fee 517.26
(c) Disciplinary levy 64.54

TTMR applicants for registration (not previously registered in New Zealand) who apply for a practising certificate within four months of the end of the annual recertification cycle ending on 31 March 2015, pay a four month practising fee of $172.42 and disciplinary levy of $21.51.

Dental Therapists
Application for registration and annual practising certificate comprising:

(a) Application for registration 456.48
(b) Annual practising certificate fee 565.07
(c) Disciplinary levy 94.26

TTMR applicants for registration (not previously registered in New Zealand) who apply for a practising certificate within four months of the end of the annual recertification cycle ending on 31 March 2015, pay a four month practising fee of $188.36 and disciplinary levy of $31.42.

Dental Technicians and Clinical Dental Technicians
Application for registration and annual practising certificate comprising:

(a) Application for registration 456.48
(b) Annual practising certificate fee 524.81
(c) Disciplinary levy 166.08

TTMR applicants for registration (not previously registered in New Zealand) who apply for a practising certificate within four months of the end of the annual recertification cycle ending on 31 March 2015, pay a four month practising fee of $174.94 and disciplinary levy of $55.36.
