Declaration That Land is a Local Purpose Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, the Waitaki District Council hereby notifies that a resolution to the following effect was passed by the council on 14 May 2014:

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, and acting under an instrument of delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Waitaki District Council hereby resolves that the parcel of land held by the said District Council in an estate in fee simple is declared to be gazetted a local purpose (memorial community building) reserve and pursuant to Section 16(2) is deemed to be classified for that purpose.”

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Partnerships Manager, Wakatipu District, Department of Conservation, classifies the reserve described in the Schedule as historic reserve, for the purposes specified in section 18 of the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares that the reserve be known as the Takerehaka Historic Reserve.
