Financial Advisers Act 2008

Financial Advisers (Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers) Notice 2014

Pursuant to section 94 of the Financial Advisers Act 2008, and following the preparation of a draft revised Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers by the code committee under section 87 of that Act and by the approval of that draft by the Financial Markets Authority under section 88 and the Minister of Commerce under section 92 of that Act, the Financial Markets Authority gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice is the Financial Advisers (Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers) Notice 2014.

  2. Commencement—This notice comes into force on 1 May 2014.

  3. Revocation—The Financial Advisers (Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers) Notice 2010 is revoked*.

  4. Date on which the revised Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers comes into force—All of the provisions of the revised Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers come into force on 1 May 2014.

  5. Availability—The revised Code of Professional Conduct for Authorised Financial Advisers can be viewed on the Financial Markets Authority website www.fma.govt.nz/help-me-comply/financial-advisers/your-obligations/authorised-financial-advisers-obligations/code-of-professional-conduct-for-afas/ or is available from the Financial Markets Authority, PO Box 106672, Auckland 1143.

KiwiSaver Act 2006

Notice of Revocation of Appointment of Default KiwiSaver Provider

Pursuant to section 181(1)(c) of the KiwiSaver Act 2006 and clause 29 of Schedule 3 of the relevant instrument of appointment, the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Commerce give notice that on 23 March 2014, they executed a notice revoking the instrument of appointment in respect of AMP Wealth Management New Zealand Limited (formerly National Mutual Corporate Superannuation Services Limited trading as AXA New Zealand).

The revocation of appointment comes into force on 24 March 2014.
