Amendment to a Notice Declaring Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Pursuant to section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby amends the notice (ln53) dated the 11th day of December 2013, declaring the land comprising the Okupata Intake to be exempt from section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 January 2014, No. 1, page 43, by omitting the word

"Sections"

from the Schedule to the notice and replacing it with

"Section".

Notice of Final Determinations to Assign Official Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 19 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (“Board”) hereby gives notice of the final determinations to assign new geographic names.

The new official geographic names are specified in the first column of the Schedule below (“Schedule”).

The geographic feature types that the new official geographic names relate to are set out in the second column of the Schedule below.

The descriptions of the new official geographic names are set out in the third column of the Schedule below.

The Board’s final determinations on these new official geographic names takes effect on 6 March 2014.

Public Works Act 1981

Easement Acquired—Kerikeri Road, Kerikeri, Far North District

Pursuant to sections 20 and 28 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, pursuant to an agreement to that effect having been entered into, an easement in gross in favour of the Far North District Council is acquired for a right to drain sewage, convey telecommunications, computer media and electricity over the land described in the First Schedule to this notice upon terms and conditions described in the Second Schedule to this notice on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Terms of Easements

The rights and powers implied shall be those set out in the standard provisions of Schedule 4 of the Land Transfer Regulations 2002 providing that the Far North District Council shall have the right to upgrade the easement facility.

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for the purposes set out in the Schedule to this notice and shall vest in the Auckland Council on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
