Reserve Classifications and Land Acquisition




NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE, No. 146 — 4 DECEMBER 2014

Pursuant to section 16(2A) of the Reserves Act 1977, the Wellington City Council hereby gives notice that:

a. Following a resolution dated the 24th day of March 2011, the land firstly and secondly described in the First Schedule to this notice is classified as scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977; and the land firstly described in the Second Schedule to this notice is classified as recreation reserve for the purposes specified in section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977;

b. Following a resolution dated the 28th day of August 2013, the land thirdly described in the First Schedule to this notice is classified as scenic reserve for the purposes specified in section 19(1)(b) of the Reserves Act 1977; and the land secondly described in the Second Schedule to this notice is classified as recreation reserve for the purposes specified in section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977

and further declares that each reserve which has a name beside its respective description is to be known as this named reserve, subject to the provisions of the Act.

Land Acquired for Education Purposes—Cleary Street, Hutt City

Pursuant to sections 20 and 50 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister for Land Information, Kerry McPhail, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice is hereby acquired for education purposes, subject to Part 4A of the Conservation Act 1987, section 11 of the Crown Minerals Act 1991, all existing encumbrances on the land in the First Schedule, and excluding coal and other minerals remaining in Certificates of Title WN148/182, WN382/35, WN465/48 and WNC4/679 by virtue of section 19 of the Public Works Act 1928, and shall vest in The Open Polytechnic of New Zealand, subject to the encumbrance in the Second Schedule to this notice, on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
