Application to Take and Hold Whale Bone

Pursuant to section 5(5) of the Marine Mammals Protection Act 1978, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, Conservation Partnerships Manager, Christchurch, notifies that she has received two permit applications from:

Patuharakeke Te Iwi Trust Board Inc., to collect stranded sperm whale remains from Te Rohe o Patuharakeke, and hold bone, oil and teeth for cultural purposes.
Te Runanga O Ngai Takoto, to collect stranded sperm whale remains from Te Oneroa A Tohe, and hold rib and jaw bones.

A copy of the applications can be obtained from the Department of Conservation, Christchurch Shared Services Unit, Private Bag 4715, Christchurch Mail Centre, Christchurch 8140.

Any person wishing to make a submission on this application can do so by writing to the Conservation Partnerships Manager, c/o Gemma Sigglekow, Christchurch Shared Services Unit, Private Bag 4715, Christchurch Mail Centre, Christchurch 8140, within 28 days after publication of this notice.

Unless a person making a submission states to the contrary in the submission, that person will be deemed to give his/her consent to the release under the Official Information Act 1982 of all the information in the submission.

Combined Board of Trustees for Hobsonville Point Primary School (6788) and Hobsonville Point Secondary School (6977) Election Notice

Under section 101(7) of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby approve 5 December 2014 as the closing date for voting in the first elections of parent representatives and a staff representative for the combined board of trustees of Hobsonville Point Primary School and Hobsonville Point Secondary School.

I also approve Thursday 18 December 2014 as the date for the first meeting of the combined board of trustees.

This notice shall take effect on the day of publication.
