1. I hereby approve Villa Education Trust to be a sponsor of a partnership school kura hourua.

2. The name of the sponsor’s school is Middle School West Auckland.

3. The sponsor’s school will be located in West Auckland.

4. Middle School West Auckland will be a co-educational restricted composite school.

5. Education at Middle School West Auckland may be given for Years 7–10.

6. For the 2015 year, the Middle School West Auckland will enrol students in Years 7–10. None of the class levels at the school will be single-sex.

7. Middle School West Auckland will operate with the following aim, purpose and/or objectives:

   (a) To provide a learning environment that is thorough, innovative and able to be applied for each learner, through his or her individualised education;

   (b) a strong emphasis on thinking skills and learners understanding how they think and learn (meta-cognition); and

   (c) building of personal character through applied Christian values.
