Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Howick Intermediate Board of Trustees (1318)

Under section 78M of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority from the Minister of Education, I hereby appoint a limited statutory manager for the Howick Intermediate Board of Trustees.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage financial operations (whether statutory or otherwise).

A limited statutory manager must also advise and support the board to:

• Develop and implement an action plan to address the recommendations and areas of non-compliance identified in the July 2014 Education Review Office Report (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• establish systems and processes for planning and reporting (whether statutory or otherwise) including charter review, strategic planning, annual planning, consultation with the community and school-wide self-review.

This notice takes effect on 19 September 2014.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Tamariki School Board of Trustees (4143)

Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, (acting under delegated authority) I hereby revoke the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 19 September 2013, No. 130, page 3619) appointing a limited statutory manager for the Tamariki School Board of Trustees.

This notice takes effect from 19 September 2014.

Resource Management Act 1991

Notice of Amendment to Materials Incorporated by Reference into the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Air Quality) Regulations 2004 (SR 2004/309)

Notice

1. Pursuant to subclause 2(1) of Schedule 1AA of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment gives notice that certain material currently incorporated by reference into the Resource Management (National Environmental Standards for Air Quality) Regulations 2004* (“Regulations”) has been replaced.

2. Regulation 23(2)(a) of the Regulations currently refers to “Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4013:1999, Domestic solid fuel burning appliances—Method for determination of flue gas emissions”. This standard is replaced with “Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4013:2014, Domestic solid fuel burning appliances—Method for determination of flue gas emission”.

3. Regulation 24(2)(a) currently refers to “Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4012:1999, Domestic solid fuel burning appliances—Method for determination of power output and efficiency”. This standard is replaced with “Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4012:2014, Domestic solid fuel burning appliances—Method for determination of power output and efficiency”.

4. The amendments to the material incorporated by reference into the Regulations as described in paragraphs 2 and 3 above take effect as part of the Regulations from 16 October 2014.
