Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996

Notice of Approval of Codes of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on 20 June 2013, the amended codes of practice:

HSNOCOP 29 Flammable Gases and Oxygen Tank Wagons

HSNOCOP 39 Toxic, Corrosive and Ecotoxic Liquids Tank Wagons

The purpose of these codes of practice is to provide a means of compliance with the requirements of the Hazardous Substances (Tank Wagons and Transportable Containers) Regulations 2004. The amendments to the codes of practice reflect the amendments made to these regulations in November 2012 together with some editorial changes.

Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, these codes can be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the EPA, Level 10, ANZ Tower, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011.

Pursuant to section 80(1)(b) of the HSNO Act, the code is available on the EPA website

Notice of Approval of Code of Practice

Pursuant to section 79(5) of the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996 (“HSNO Act”), the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) advises that it approved on 27 June 2013 the amended code of practice:

HSNOCOP 44 Below ground stationary container systems for petroleum – design and installation

The purpose of this code of practice is to provide a means for the design and installation of below ground stationary container systems for petroleum. It provides a practical means of compliance, with the requirements of Schedule 8, clauses 33(a), 73(3)(a)(iii), 73(3)(b)(iii), 73(4)(b), 77, 81(1), 32, 34, 35, 35A, 36 and 77 of the Hazardous Substances (Dangerous Goods and Scheduled Toxic Substances) Transfer Notice 2004 (as amended).

Pursuant to section 80(1) of the HSNO Act, the code can be inspected on request at the Wellington office of the EPA, Level 10, ANZ Tower, 215 Lambton Quay, Wellington 6011.

The Authorised Futures Dealers (ICAP Brokers Pty Limited) Notice 2013

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Markets Act 1988, the Financial Markets Authority gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title, commencement, and expiry—(1) This notice is the Authorised Futures Dealers (ICAP Brokers Pty Limited) Notice 2013.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

(3) This notice expires on the close of 30 September 2017.

  1. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

Act means the Securities Markets Act 1988.

AFS Licence means an Australian Financial Services Licence granted under the Corporations Act.

ASIC means the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Company means ICAP Brokers Pty Limited.

Corporations Act means the Corporations Act 2001 of the Commonwealth of Australia.

FMA means the Financial Markets Authority established by Part 2 of the Financial Markets Authority Act 2011.

recognised exchange means an authorised futures exchange or any exchange in a country other than New Zealand which is authorised by the laws of that country to operate as a futures exchange.
