Notice of Final Determinations to Alter Official Geographic Names

Pursuant to sections 19 and 21(2) of the New Zealand Geographic Board (Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa) Act 2008, the New Zealand Geographic Board Ngā Pou Taunaha o Aotearoa (the “Board”) hereby gives notice of the final determinations to alter existing geographic names.

The altered geographic names are now official geographic names and are specified in the first column of the Schedule below (“the Schedule”).

The geographic feature type that each altered official geographic name relates to is set out in the second column of the Schedule below.

The description of each altered official geographic name is set out in the third column of the Schedule below.

The Board’s final determinations on these official geographic names took effect on 20 June 2013.

A Proclamation

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, Lieutenant General The Right Honourable Sir Jerry Mateparae, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare:

(a) The land described in the First Schedule to be taken for road;

(b) The land described in the Second Schedule to be taken for the functioning indirectly of a road (stormwater pond); and

(c) The land described in the Third Schedule to be taken for the functioning indirectly of a road (segregation strip)

and to vest in the Crown on the 14th day after the date of the publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.
