Electricity Industry Act 2010

Notice of the Electricity Industry Participation (Undesirable Trading Situation) Code Amendment 2013

Pursuant to section 38(3)(b) of the Electricity Industry Act 2010, the Electricity Authority (“Authority”) gives notice of the making of the Electricity Industry Participation (Undesirable Trading Situation) Code Amendment 2013.
The amendment comes into force on 18 July 2013.
The amendment updates and clarifies the processes in relation to undesirable trading situations, including introducing a 10 business day time limit for the Authority to commence investigating whether an undesirable trading situation has occurred.
A copy of the amendment and the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010 (“Code”) is available on the Electricity Authority’s website www.ea.govt.nz/act-code-regs/code-regs/
