Reserves Act 1977

Cancellation of the Vesting of a Reserve, Classification, Then Appointing a Voluntary Organisation to Control and Manage the Reserve

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Conservation Partnerships Manager for the Wellington District of the Lower North Island Region of the Department of Conservation cancels the vesting in the Porirua City Council of the reserve described in the Schedule, classifies the reserve as a local purpose esplanade reserve, and appoints the Plimmerton Boating Club Incorporated to control and manage the reserve for local purpose esplanade purposes, subject to the provisions of the Act.

The appointment to control and manage the reserve is subject to additional conditions that the reserve is managed to ensure that access to and along the reserve frontage with the sea is preserved for public use and the Minister be able to recover any local and regional authority rates from the Plimmerton Boating Club if such rates are levied.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How to Utilise Proceeds of Sale

Under the Reserves Act 1977, the Permissions/Statutory Land Management Manager, Dunedin Shared Service Centre, Department of Conservation, revokes the reservation as a local purpose (flood protection) reserve over the land described in the Schedule and declares that the land may be disposed of by the Queenstown Lakes District Council at current market value, the proceeds of such sale to be paid into the council’s reserve account, to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
