Alternative Constitution for the Board of Trustees of Rai Valley Area School (291)

Pursuant to section 105A of the Education Act 1989, I hereby approve the following constitution for the board of trustees of Rai Valley Area School.

The board of trustees of Rai Valley Area School will be made up of the following members:

• Two parent representatives;
• up to three Ministerial appointees;
• one staff representative;
• the Principal; and
• one student representative.

The appointment of a trustee may be for a term not exceeding three years.

Sections 96, 97, 101, 104 and 105 of the Education Act 1989 will apply in respect of the board.

For the first elections of parent representative(s), staff representative, and student representative, a returning officer will be appointed by the commissioner and will carry out the duties in accordance with the Education (School Trustee Elections) Regulations 2000.

All trustees will take office when the current commissioner’s appointment ends.

This notice shall come into force on the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Revocation of Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Te Whānau-a-Apanui Area School (147)

Under section 78M(7) of the Education Act 1989, with delegated authority, I hereby revoke the notice (as published in the New Zealand Gazette, 3 February 2011, No. 11, page 252) appointing a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Te Whānau-a-Apanui Area School.

This notice takes effect on the day of publication.

Notice of Dissolution of the Board of Trustees of Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate, Mangere (1215) and Appointment of a Commissioner

Pursuant to section 78N(3)(b) of the Education Act 1989, as the Secretary for Education’s delegate, I hereby dissolve the board of trustees of Sir Douglas Bader Intermediate, Mangere, and appoint Madeleine East as commissioner to replace that board.

Notice of Direction to Appoint a Limited Statutory Manager for the Board of Trustees of Lake Rotoma School (1788)

Pursuant to section 78M of the Education Act 1989, under delegated authority, I direct the Group Manager, Sector Enablement and Support, to appoint a limited statutory manager for the board of trustees of Lake Rotoma School.

The following functions, powers and duties of the board are to be vested in a limited statutory manager:

• All functions, powers and duties of the board as an employer (whether statutory or otherwise);
• all functions, powers and duties of the board in curriculum management including teaching and assessment practice (whether statutory or otherwise); and
• all functions, powers and duties of the board to manage all communications (whether statutory or otherwise) including communications with the media, communications within the school, and communications between the school and its community.

Climate Change Response Act 2002

Notice Stating Where Material Incorporated by Reference into Regulations Under the Climate Change Response Act 2002 is Available for Inspection or Purchase

Pursuant to section 174(1)(d) of the Climate Change Response Act 2002, notice is given that the material incorporated by reference into Regulations is as follows:

Climate Change (Stationary Energy and Industrial Processes) Regulations 2009 (first made on 28 September 2009) incorporated the following material by reference:

• ASTM D6348-03 Standard Test Method for Determination of Gaseous Compounds by Extractive Direct Interface Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy.
• ASTM D6866-08 Standard Test Methods for Determining the Biobased Content of Solid, Liquid, and Gaseous Samples Using Radiocarbon Analysis.

• ISO 10780:1994(E) Stationary source emissions - Measurement of velocity and volume flowrate of gas streams in ducts.
