Notice of Provisional Recognition for The New Zealand Flooring Training Organisation Incorporated

Pursuant to section 8 of the Industry Training Act 1992, The New Zealand Flooring Training Organisation Incorporated has been provisionally recognised from the date of this notice until 27 May 2014 to set standards at Levels 1–8 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework for the:

• Flooring industry – in the areas of production, distribution, sales, and installation of resilient/soft flooring and associated flooring surfaces excluding the production, distribution, sales, installation and maintenance of flooring surfaces such as slate, cement/clay tiles and pavers, ceramic tiles and natural stone, and liquid floor coatings, seamless flooring and screeds.

• Painting and paperhanging industry (painting and decorating) – with respect to the preparation of surfaces and application of paints, coatings, coverings and associated products, including resins.

Land Declared No Longer Required for Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 70A of the Education Act 1989, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me, I, Kim Shannon, Head of Education Infrastructure Service, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

Notice

1. The Ministry of Education’s interest in the land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.

2. This notice shall come into force on 21 November 2013.

Notice of Intention to Take Land and a Leasehold Estate—State Highway 1 Akerama Southbound Passing Lane Project, Far North District

Notice is hereby given that the Minister for Land Information proposes to take, under the Public Works Act 1981, the land described in the First Schedule to this notice (“land”) and the leasehold estate (“lease”) in the land described in the Second Schedule to this notice (“lease land”) on the terms and conditions set out in the Third Schedule to this notice.

The land and the lease are required for construction of the State Highway 1 Akerama Southbound Passing Lane Project (“project”).

More particularly, the land is required for road.

The lease is required for the functioning indirectly of a road to allow for temporary occupation during construction of the project.

The project is required to improve the safety and efficiency of State Highway 1 at Akerama.

The owner of the land and those persons with a registered interest in it have been served with notice of the Minister for Land Information’s intention to take their land, and advised of their right to object.
